More than 300 years ago, the powerful and graceful Cape Leopard would shelter in the Western Cape mountains and keep watch over the lands below. There, the early settlers could be seen toiling under the clear blue African skies as they planted the first of the Cape’s magnificent vineyards. Legend has it that these majestic felines would come to drink from the natural fountains that lie close to where the Adam Tas cellar is today. And it is in honour of these elegant large cats that this wine range has been named Sediba, which means ‘fountain’ in the native South African Sotho tongue. The wines in this range are made at the Adam Tas cellars in Stellenbosch.
